Service Description

Strawberries 2025! Strawberry Picking Appointments are loaded and ready for you to make your reservations. Even if your reservation is late in the evening, you are still welcome to come at 5 pm. Plan on packing your boots or play shoes for a fun adventure of picking strawberries this year. There could be mud in some rows. Leave your cute summer sandals or clean tennis shoes in the car. ​ You are welcome to schedule an appointment for a row to pick in for the day. Rain or Shine. ​ $6.50 a pound no pesticides, fumigants, or round up​ Picking baskets this year are $3 but you are welcome to bring your own container from home  ​We will message you driving directions, instructions on where to park, and other important detail the day of your appointment. Once you arrive, washing your hands will be the first step at our washing station.  We will also have a large porta potty for your use. Next, will instruct your group on how to best pick strawberries, grab some picking baskets, and show you your reserved row.  We are happy to answer any questions you have at any time during your visit.  ​We never know how many strawberries will be in your row that day but you are welcome to pick all of them or some of them.  ​ What can you do while you are here picking strawberries? Have a picnic or snack. There are several picnic tables set up around the farm or you can bring a blanket and set up under a tree by the creek. Play in the creek with our nets and look for small fish, crawdads, and other treasures.  ​Visit our farm animals-our chickens and ducks (please do not pick up the Rooster).  We are hoping to borrow Farmer Paul Ronks goats. Stay tuned. Take a hike up in our woods-some fitness recommended-steep inclines but worth the effort.  There are also several local restaurants in downtown Clendenin you could visit before or after your appointment-Blanch family Diner, Clendenin Brewery, Frost Bite Dairy Bar, Elk River Bakery, Paddlers Bar and Grill, and Giovonni's Pizza-they will deliver to our farm. Pizzas and Cream are up the road too in Nebo, WV.  ​If it is a rainy day, we can be flexible of the time you bring your family-normally in West Virginia it is rare for it to rain all day in June-there will be breaks and we be monitoring when those breaks are forecasted. We will be in touch with you the day of to discuss the weather and your schedule. Your family will never forget picking strawberries in the rain-trust me it will be certainly be a memory mker
